First things first
The first thing to do is make sure that your LinkedIn profile is up to the task so that when people come to look at you, they will see what it is that you do.
Make sure that there is a link to your website and your company page, and your company phone number.

The Second thing
Write a short message introducing yourself with hashtags, as you would for Twitter, and post them to your target market.
DO NOT sell; just introduce yourself, ask to link up and offer an observation or a tip.
Now wait and react to anyone who responds just as a conversation.

The Third thing
Write an article of no more than 500 words about what you know and post it in the second week.

As time goes by, you will have more and more people reacting to you, and eventually, if you maintain the conversations, you will get people looking at your profile and your website and wanting to discuss doing business with you.

Make no mistake, it does require commitment and a regular allocation of your time, but it will result in the steady business growth you want.
